Capt. Anietie Eyo Asuquo, AFNI, MSc

His distinguished career began in the mid-1990s and evolved from operational seafaring roles through to senior executive leadership, bringing a rare combination of deep offshore operational expertise and strategic management capability.

He is a certified Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) accredited by the Nautical Institute, London, and holds a Master Mariner (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency for vessels above 3,000 Gross Registered Tonnage issued by NIMASA.

Over the course of his seagoing career, Capt. Asuquo commanded and operated a wide range of offshore vessels including Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS), Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSV), and Crew Boats across major offshore oil and gas fields in West Africa and internationally.

He served for many years as Master on DP-2 Platform Supply Vessels with Temile Nigeria Limited / CS Offshore (Dubai), commanding vessels including MV TEMILE, MV BEMIGHO, MV A70, and MV ANAIAH. In these roles he was responsible for vessel command, crew leadership, offshore cargo logistics, safety management, and supply operations supporting offshore drilling platforms, FPSOs, jack-up rigs, and subsea installations.

His career progression reflects steady advancement through all key maritime ranks: Able Seaman, Trainee Deck Officer, Mate, Chief Mate, Acting Master, and Master Mariner — demonstrating strong technical competence, leadership ability, and operational reliability in demanding offshore environments.

Operational experience spans major offshore fields across West Africa and internationally, supporting leading operators including ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, Total, SNEPCO, SEPLAT, and AGIP. Operations included offshore logistics, supply, tanker lifting, anchor handling, towing, rig moves, diving support, and dynamic positioning in challenging environments.

As General Manager at World Cardinal Maritime Limited, he provides executive leadership across vessel operations, safety management systems, regulatory compliance, fleet coordination, strategic direction, and business development within Nigeria's maritime and offshore services sector.
