A licensed Chief Engineer with a Certificate of Competency for vessels above 3,000KW issued by NIMASA, he possesses extensive expertise in the operation, maintenance, and technical management of offshore support vessels including Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Fast Support Intervention Vessels (FSIV), and Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHT/AHTS).

A graduate of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marine Engineering, Engr. Williamson has built a strong professional career across reputable maritime and offshore service companies. His seagoing career spans operations with organizations such as L.A.T.C., Tidewater, West African Ventures, Ejovi Dredging & Marine Services, Promar Shipping, and Rangk Ltd.

During this period, he rose through the ranks from Engine Cadet to Second Engineer and ultimately Chief Engineer, demonstrating technical competence, leadership capability, and operational reliability in demanding offshore environments.

As Chief Engineer, he has been responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vessel propulsion systems, power generation plants, auxiliary machinery, and all engine room operations. He has led engineering teams in preventive maintenance planning, major engine overhauls, fault diagnosis, dry-docking activities, and compliance with international maritime safety and environmental standards.

His operational experience includes extensive offshore work supporting major oil and gas operators such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, and Tulcan Drilling across offshore fields including Erha, Agbami, Escravos, Okoro, and Odudu.

Engr. Williamson brings significant hands-on experience with major marine engine systems including Caterpillar (CAT C32 ACERT, CAT 3512C, CAT 3516B), Niigata 6L28HX, STX MAN engines, Cummins systems, and EMD propulsion systems. He has successfully supervised major engine overhauls by OEMs, coordinated technical maintenance programs, and ensured vessel reliability during complex offshore logistics operations including cargo transfer, personnel transport, towing, anchor handling, and subsea support activities.

He holds several professional maritime certifications under the STCW Convention including Advanced Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Ship Security Officer (SSO), Engine Room Resource Management (ERM), Human Element Leadership & Management (HELM), High Voltage Maintenance, DP Maintenance, and Medical First Aid. He also holds Dynamic Positioning certification from Charkin Maritime Academy, further strengthening his competence in modern offshore vessel operations.
